The phrase “life is lifeing” always boggles my mind—not because it’s wrong, but because it’s typically said with a negative tone. And I can’t help but wonder… what exactly are we expecting from life?
I fully expect my life to be “lifeing.” To me, that means I expect the ups and downs, the twists, the surprises, the pauses, the breakthroughs—everything that comes with the fullness of being alive.
When I imagine a life that isn’t lifeing, I don’t see joy. I don’t see excitement, lessons, achievements, adventure, love, relationships, or those mind-blowing experiences that change you from the inside out. All the things meant to shape you, mold you, heal you, and ultimately grow you would be missing.
So yes—I absolutely want my life to be lifeing. I want God to work in me through every season, pulling out the best version of me. I expect life to grow me in love, in peace, and in understanding.
And I’m very aware that a life that’s lifeing won’t feel joyful every single day. Pain exists in the process—but joy really does come in the morning.
Lifeing is action. Without action, life is stagnant.
My life is lifeing—and I thank God every day for the movement, the lessons, and the grace in it all.
❤
